On October 8th ASME travelled to the Lakeshore preserve to remove invasive buckthorn plants along a trail. We made quick work of it, even having time for a lemonade break!

Saturday Science--Invention
October 1st found ASME working with the patent office to teach children about patents and inventions at the Wisconsin Institutes for Discovery.
The highlight was walking kids through inventing and improving a paper basket.

2016 ASME Golf Outing
ASME held our second annual golf outing at Glenway Golf Course this September! We had 36 student golfers participate and golf with our seven sponsoring companies. This event was a fantastic opportunity for students to meet recruiters in an informal environment the Sunday before the career fair. Following the team-scramble-round of golf, we had the rest of the afternoon to eat lunch, give away prizes, and get to know each other. Everyone had a blast and we cannot wait to host this amazing event again next fall!
